2 Kristen Stewart Movies We Love – Download The Soundtracks!

Lakeshore Records wishes Kristen Stewart a happy birthday! We’ve seen her grow up before our eyes on screen, so we know she’s known for more than just being Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga movies. The films, Welcome To The Rileys (available via Netflix) and the Oscar-nominated Into The Wild (watch on Netflix), hold a special place in our hearts not only because we released the soundtracks, but they are just great movies to catch KStew playing characters we’re not used to seeing.

Welcome to the Rileys Composer Marc Streitenfeld (also of The Grey Soundtrack) is just fantastic at capturing all the varying and sometimes very intense emotions from the film. Co-star James Gandolfini can also be seen in Killing Them Softly (download the album here), and Into The Wild‘s Emile Hirsch stars in The Motel Life (features Twilight co-star Dakota Fanning), the title to one of our newest soundtrack releases.

Game of Thrones fans have an opportunity to dig deeper into the realm via our world’s Medieval and Renaissance periods. In Reclaiming the Blade, the documentary chronicles the history of swordplay and includes testimonials from Lord of the Rings’ Viggo Mortensen and Karl Urban, and Bob Anderson, the legendary sword trainer. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans offers a stylized interpretation of a medieval period, when torture chambers, suits of armour and swords were still a weapon of choice for Vampires and Lycans alike. So, go ahead and indulge: grab your goblet, watch the trailers and let the soundtracks bring a piece of that world into your living room.

13 Songs For Alternative Superheroes

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens this weekend. The film from Marvel Comics stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, who, as his name implies, is one of the world’s Most Finest Superheroes fighting evil and corruption. Not all heroes are super. Bad supers aren’t trying to save the world. They’re just trying to make their little corner of it better. Sometimes, as we learn in the film Superbad, the greatest hero you’ll ever know is already standing right beside you; your best friend. Boop.

In Super, Rainn Wilson stars as Crimson Bolt, a delusional man on mission to save his wife from an evil drug dealer. In My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Uma Thurman plays G-Girl, a heroine-scorned who strays so far from justice that she nearly becomes a super-villain. In Crank, Jason Statham plays the unstoppable Chev Chelios, a true anti-hero who wades through the criminal underworld powered by nothing but epinephrine and a desire to hear his girlfriend pick up the goddamn phone. Here’s a playlist to celebrate those who stumble, trip, and fall into greatness – heroes who lose their way or have strange ideas about what constitutes a good deed.

‘Something Wicked’ Opens In Theaters Today – Download The Official Soundtrack!

Something Wicked is out today in theaters: are you going to see it? The thriller stars Shantel VanSanten, John Robinson, Julian Morris and Brittany Murphy in her final film. We’ve seen the movie trailer and heard the soundtrack, so it’s going to be a safe bet it’s going to be one scary movie you won’t want to miss. Composer Kyle Newmaster does a good job scoring the soundtrack: he takes us on this tension-filled journey filled with mystery, an injection of musical adrenaline, and a lot of ups, downs, twists and turns. Oh, how he plays with our emotions!
