As Beth and John’s relationship grows more serious, Beth begins to examine the possibilities of marriage and having a family, as she and John seek answers for their communication problems,” according to the official synopsis. “Is Beth’s traumatic history with men, and people she trusted from her youth destined to repeat itself? And what is triggering her fears? Beth does her best to keep her relationships alive while struggling to support friends and family who are all facing their own problems while entering their fourth decade.
Says Elliston: Season 2 takes us to so many new places – both geographically and conceptually – and the score reflects that. We cover a lot more ground this season. Theres opera, soul, New Orleans-style jazz, and, in particular, theres one episode where we get to go into this whole classic spooky music thing with the orchestra. I’ve always wanted to do that – did not see that coming that it would be on this show! And, yet, the heart of the score is the music that accompanies these intensely personal scenes that you see on the screen. Because, despite all the silliness in the show, its these very real-life moments in the show that are at its core.”
Notes Angry: Its amazing working with an artist like Amy who pushes new boundaries, which allowed us to explore a whole new palette for this season.”
Adds Schumer: “Collaborating on the scoring with Ray and Timo has been one of the most satisfying honors of my life.”
