Lakeshore Records is pleased to release the soundtrack to Camp X-Ray, the new film starring Kristen Stewart (Twilight Saga, The Runaways, Panic Room). Los Angeles-based Composer Jess Stroup is a classically-trained multi-instrumentalist who was recently recognized on Indiewire’s 2014 list of film composers to watch. Stroup’s imaginative electronic and guitar-based scores have provided the backdrop for indie films, television and commercials. Camp X-Ray is Stroup’s first feature film score as Composer. Watch Camp X-Ray opens in theaters on October 17 (check showtimes).
Kristen Stewart stars as a new recruit assigned to Camp X-Ray, a detention facility in Guantanamo Bay and strikes up an unlikely friendship which could put her loyalty into question.

Peter Sattler‘s directorial debut, the film stars Kristen Stewart (On The Road, Twilight, Welcome to the Rileys) and Peyman Moaadi (A Separation, About Elly) with John Carroll Lynch (Shutter Island, Zodiac), Lane Garrison (Shooter, Fox’s Prison Break), and Joseph Julian Soria (Crank: High Voltage, Fast & Furious) in supporting roles. Camp X-Ray is an American Independent drama based at Camp X-Ray in a temporary detention facility at Guantanamo Bay detention facility. Kristen Stewart plays Army recruit Amy Cole who is placed as guard at Guantanamo Bay. Her loyalties come into question when she strikes up a friendship with a detainee.

Lakeshore Records wishes Kristen Stewart a happy birthday! We’ve seen her grow up before our eyes on screen, so we know she’s known for more than just being Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga movies. The films, Welcome To The Rileys (available via Netflix) and the Oscar-nominated Into The Wild (watch on Netflix), hold a special place in our hearts not only because we released the soundtracks, but they are just great movies to catch KStew playing characters we’re not used to seeing.
Welcome to the Rileys Composer Marc Streitenfeld (also of The Grey Soundtrack) is just fantastic at capturing all the varying and sometimes very intense emotions from the film.
