‘How I Met Your Mother’ Trivia: Jason Segel & Paul Rudd Are ‘Friends’

When a TV show ends, it never really leaves your heart, does it?  Tonight marks the series finale of How I Met Your Mother, airing at 8/9 Central on CBS (check local listings).  Premiered in 2005, this sitcom filled the void created when “Friends” went off the air in 2004.  The series stars Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan.  Lakeshore Records takes a look at another comedy starring Jason Segel: I Love You, Man.  His co-star, Paul Rudd, is a “Friends” alum.  Pretty cool, right?  “I Love You, Man” was released in 2009 during the HIMYM series run.  If you’ve already seen “I Love You Man,” then you’ll know the fun soundtrack with a score by Theodore Shapiro is worth adding to your How I Met Your Mother-related playlist.

Apocalypse Weekend Presents: ‘Noah’ Composer Clint Mansell – Preview Music Here

When Hollywood came calling for a film composer to score an epic surrounding a disaster of biblical proportions, they looked to Clint Mansell to provide the aural backdrop to Noah, a film directed by Darren Aronofsky.  Mansell is no stranger to working on films headlined by big stars: he scored these Lakeshore Records soundtracks: Faster (starring Dwayne Johnson and Billy Bob Thornton) and Smokin’ Aces (starring Ray Liotta and Jeremy Piven).  If you like Mansell’s masterful music from Noah, we think you’ll love his work in Faster and Smokin’ Aces.

Our Apocalypse Weekend continues with a new soundtrack companion to this weekend’s blockbuster film, Noah, starring Russell Crowe and directed by Darren Aronofksy.  Noah is expected to take over the #1 spot, dethroning last weekend’s futuristic film, Divergent.  At Lakeshore Records, we have a history of releasing soundtracks from many sci-fi movies, including the soundtrack for this other apocalyptic film, Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley.  The quirky romantic comedy-meets-Armageddon is an endearing tale and we think you’ll dig the soundtrack and score by Rob Simonsen and Jonathan Sadoff.
