What’s New On Lakeshore: Stranger Things Volume 2, Halt And Catch Fire, Greater + More

Stranger Thing Vol 1- Halt And Catch Fire - Greater

This past week, Lakeshore Records released Stranger Things, Volume 2 soundtrack: score by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of Austin-based band S U R V I V E.  The companion album to the hit Volume 1 release also topped the Apple and iTunes charts!  Albums by two veteran composers were also released: The Halt And Catch Fire soundtrack, score by electronic music pioneer Paul Haslinger (of Tangerine Dream) is another highly-anticipated score release to the award-winning AMC series; and Greater soundtrack, score by Stephen Endelman, Grammy® nominated composer who you may know from his score to The Englisman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain and Some Kind Of Beautiful.  Read further for more information.

Lakeshore Records is very pleased to release Halt And Catch Fire (Original Television Series Soundtrack) – out now!  The album features the electronic score by Paul Haslinger, (Fear The Walking Dead, Underworld), who began his career as a member of Electronic Music pioneers Tangerine Dream and toured with them extensively from 1985-90.  See full album details below.

AMC’s HALT AND CATCH FIRE will return for season three on Tuesday, August 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes.  New episodes will air in the series’ regular time slot of Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT beginning Tuesday, August 30.

Paul Haslinger has a great resume. At 51 years old, the Austrian-born composer and producer can list both Vienna’s Academy of Music and the University of Vienna under Previous Education and slot Tangerine Dream as Previous Employer of five years, during which he recorded 15 albums and participated in four international tours… More recently, Haslinger’s scored the incredible first season of AMC’s new ’80s set drama, Halt and Catch Fire. – Consequence of Sound (July 2014)

 

Lakeshore Records will release Halt And Catch Fire (Original Television Series Soundtrack) digitally on August 19, with the CD to follow in September.  The album features an original score by composer Paul Haslinger (Fear The Walking Dead, Underworld), who began his career as a member of Electronic Music pioneers Tangerine Dream and toured with them extensively from 1985-90.  Watch a sneak preview of the score to this award-winning AMC television series, complete with stills from the series and vintage band photos from Paul’s touring days!
