EMMYS 2023: Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon, Holly Amber Church, John Powell, Hans Zimmer + More Are Among Nominees!

This year, five Lakeshore Records partners are nominated in the Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music and Outstanding Music Composition categories!  From Holly Amber Church’s theme to Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, to Chris Bacon and Danny Elfman’s score to Wednesday, we’re especially pleased to see sci-fi and horror genres getting a lot of love this year.  With six music nominations from five partners–40 nominations across a total of eight partners overall—it’s yet another fruitful year for partners!  View the full breakdown below.

EMMYS 2022: 14 Peaks, Severance, Stranger Things Nab Music Nominations!

This year’s EMMY® nominations are in!  Composers Theodore Shapiro (“Severance“) and Nainita Desai (14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible) secured music nominations! Nora Felder  nabbed the Best Music Supervision  nom for “Stranger Things” Season 4, Vol. 1.  The Television Academy reported there was a sharp increase in EMMY® submissions this year in the drama and supporting categories, so we suspect the competition was fierce! Now that the nominations are out, the final found voting period begins August 12 and ends on August 22. The ceremony will take place September 12, 2022 and will broadcast on NBC (streaming on Peacock).  Congratulations to all the nominees this year!  View the full list at EMMYS online.

As the world waits with baited breath for the Stranger Things 4, Vol. 2 series premiere on Netflix, composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein debut two score tracks, “What’s The Internet?” and “You’re The Heart,” which you can hear now via Consequence of Sound.

The epic 80-track album, Stranger Things 4–Original Score from the Netflix Series, releases digitally via Lakeshore Records and Invada Records on Friday, July 1, 2022 with the series Vol. 2 premiere on Netflix!
