For Earth Day 2022, we take our cue from this year’s theme, “Invest In Our Planet.”  We shine the spotlight on five films which touch on different aspects of this theme to help us understand the world we live in with fresh eyes.  Are we taking our planet for granted?  Do we have time to fix our climate crisis?  These are just some questions the films explore.  

To accompany the films are five soundtracks which express the magnitude, the majesty and the urgency one may feel when contemplating the film’s topics.  Watch the film trailers and listen to the soundtracks below.

Lakeshore Congratulates Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2020 Nominees

Lakeshore Records congratulates Nine Inch Nails on their Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame 2020 nomination!  Lakeshore has had the honor of releasing works by current and former members of Nine Inch Nails including Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Charlie Clouser, Danny Lohner and Chris Vrenna.  Also on the list of nominees are Depeche Mode and Soundgarden.  See links to relevant soundtrack releases below.  Congratulations to all the nominees this year! The 2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by Klipsch Audio, will be held at Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio on May 2, 2020 and will be preceded by Induction Week with celebratory events and the opening of the 2020 Inductee exhibit.

Can you believe it’s been a year since Lakeshore Records teamed up with record stores around the country to present the release of Before The Flood in support of terrapass?  The album features score by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Gustavo Santaolalla and Mogwai was an international collaboration for Leonardo DiCaprio’s climate change documentary, Executive Produced by Martin Scorsese and directed by Academy Award winner Fisher Stevens, the climate change documentary and the beautiful score is a solid choice to cue up for this Earth Day.
