2023 Children’s and Family EMMY Awards: Fraggle Rock, Slumberkins, and XO, Kitty Secure Nominations!

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) have announced the nominees for this year’s Children’s & Family Emmy® Awards!  In its second year, Lakeshore Records partners are represented once again and the recognition spans the preschool through young teen programming categories in five award categories!  Last year, Lakeshore Records partner Fraggle Rock: Back To The Rock (Apple TV+) won Outstanding Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design and received 3 other nominations.  This year, Fraggle Rock is back on the nominees roster.  View the full list of nominations below.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off: Netflix Drops Series Trailer During New York Comic Con

The band is getting back together! Scott Pilgrim Takes Off reunites the original stars of the 2010 film, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, in the form of the forthcoming Netflix anime! In conjunction with New York Comic Con weekend, Netflix dropped the full official trailer, teasing Bryan Lee O’Malley, BenDavid Grabinski and Edgar Wright’s reimagining of Scott Pilgrim in this new animated series. The highly-anticipated return of the Castlevania series on Netflix brought back composing duo, Trevor Morris and Trey Toy to continue the epic saga in the form of Castlevania: Nocturne, which takes place generations later.  Imagine playing the Castlevania games as a child and growing up to be asked to work on the Castlevania tv series as a composer!  This was an unimagined dream come true for Composer Trey Toy, as revealed in the Screen Rant interview.

Early Buzz For Scott Pilgrim Takes Off Anime Series Soundtrack | Polygon

Before the highly-anticipated Scott Pilgrim Takes Off anime series has even launched, there is already buzz around the soundtrack by Anamanaguchi and Joseph Trapanese!  With three months to go before the world is treated to the animated series executive produced by the original writer and illustrator of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels, Bryan Lee O’Malley, one would hope we get to see more teasers in the coming weeks (the synopsis is currently under wraps).  And, did we say Scott Pilgrim Takes Off features a stacked cast, because, it is?  Since the launch of the teaser trailer, Scott Pilgrim fans have been blowing up the video as it has already generated close to two million views (as of this writing) in just one day on YouTube!  Set your reminder now at Netflix.
