Time-Bending ‘Volition’ Movie Arrives On VOD, Score By Matthew Rogers Out Now!

Tony Dean Smith’s time-bending scifi thriller, Volition, is now available on Apple TV!  With a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score and The Hollywood Reporter calling it “an ingeniusly constructed puzzler,” here’s a good reason to add Volition to your weekend scifi movie night!  Hardcore sci-fi fans will also find a treasure trove in the casting!  Be on the lookout for Adrian Glynn McMorran (“Arrow“), Magda Apanowics (“Caprica“), Aleks Paunovic (“Van Helsing” series), Bill Marchant (“The 100“,  Chappie), and more.

Lakeshore Records has released the soundtrack to dark comedy, Below, directed by Maziar Lahooti (Good Pretender, Heaven).    Featuring score by Ned Beckley and Josh Hogan, the soundtrack is available now digitally on all major music services worldwide.  See listening links and more below. 

Last year, Australian composers Ned Beckley and Josh Hogan came together to collaborate as the duo, Beckley&Hogan, to “showcase their respective strengths in production and how they complement each other” musically.

Starring Ryan Corr (Wolf Creek 2, Holding The Man) and Golden Globe® and EMMY® Winner Anthony LaPaglia (“Without A Trace”, “Frasier”), Below movie is described by The Guardian as “Fight Club meets Australian immigration detention.”  Watch the movie trailer below.

Ava Duvernay’s When They See Us Limited Series on Netflix is one of the most awarded shows of 2019, winning 23 awards including two EMMYs®, a Critic’s Choice, and the recent Peabody Awards® win!  For Composer Kris Bowers, he won Best Original Score at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards and received an EMMY®, Black Reel, and Society of Composers & Lyricists award nominations for his composition.  In the same year, Kris was nonimated Television Composer of the Year at the World Soundtrack Awards!

Lakeshore Records has released Ramy Seasons One and Two—Original Composition Soundtrack Album. Composed by Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Skin), and Mike Tuccillo (Out of Omaha), the hauntingly ambient score punctuated by sharp orchestration and vocalizations provides an evocative backdrop to the comedy-drama series.  View the album listening links and more below.

Bushwick: Burnt – Directors Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott Premiere The New Black & White Print

Co-directors Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott (Becky, Cooties) have released Bushwick: Burnt, the new black and white print of their 2017 film, Bushwick, starring Dave Bautista and Brittany Snow!  This new black and white version arrives in time for the July 4th weekend and is available in the iTunes Extras section of Apple TV, including other bonus material such as a “making of” video, photo galleries and more.

In celebration of this release, the directors have graciously curated a special Bushwick: Burnt Spotify Playlist on behalf of Lakeshore Records, featuring music by Aesop Rock (from the soundtrack), Ghostface Killah, Ben Frost, Cannibal Ox and many others who inspired them during the filming.  Listen below the jump.
