To be sure, people identify Zinner with his axe… The guitar is still present, but unlike the angular shards and shreds that punctured Yeah Yeah Yeahs tunes, meeting Karen O’s high pitched vocals that fluctuated between furious and innocent, they are delicate, resembling the batting of eyelashes. And if that name sounds familiar, he is indeed that Nick Zinner, the guitarist of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The Kindness Of Strangers: Andrew Lockington Secures Best Score Nomination At Canadian Screen Awards!
Music.Film congratulates the team behind The Kindness of Strangers and Composer Andrew Lockington on their Best Score nomination for this year’s Canadian Screen Awards! The soundtrack was released digitally on February 14 via Music.Film and Varese Sarabande on the same day of the film’s Digital and VOD release.
Andrew is an award-winning Canadian composer known for his score to recent blockbuster San Andreas and Journey To The Center of the Earth. In 2009, the International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA) awarded him Breakthrough Film Composer of the Year.
Presented by the CBC, this year’s Canadian Screen Awards will be broadcast live March 29 at 8 PM (check local listings)! See the full schedule at the Canadian Screen Academy online.
