Critic’s Choice Documentary Awards: Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, The Deepest Breath + More Take Home Wins!

Davis Guggenheim’s Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie won big at the  Eighth Annual Critic’s Choice Documentary Awards!  The ceremony, which is an offshoot of the Critic’s Choice Awards (held in January 2024), recognizes the “finest in cinematic and television achievement.”  Lakeshore Records partners won 9 awards across 4 documentaries, which include wins from Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, The Deepest Breath, Being Mary Tyler Moore, and the upcoming The Last Repair Shop.  The Deepest Breath (Nainita Desai) and The Last Repair Shop (Katya Richardson & Kris Bowers) also received a Best Score nomination in addition to the wins.  View all the wins below.

2023 HMMA Award Nominations Announced: Kris Bowers, John Carney, Gary Clark, John Powell and More Are Honored

The 2023 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) nominations have been announced!  Leading the list includes John Carney and Gary Clark’s song, “High Life” with two song nominations!  Performed by Eve Hewson, Orén Kinlan, Jack Reynor, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt from Flora and Son (Apple Original Film), the upbeat song is quite a spotlight.  The soundtrack released by Lakeshore Records is one of a total of 9 nominations this year for the label.  View the full list online at HMMAwards.com.  Congratulations to all nominees this year!

GRAMMYs 2022: Kris Bowers Secures Best Score Nomination For Bridgerton!

Congratulations go out to Kris Bowers on his Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media GRAMMY nomination for Bridgerton, the Shondaland/Netflix hit series!  This is his first Best Score GRAMMY nomination.  Previously, Kris also earned a GRAMMY nom for Best Arrangement in 2020 for “Blue Skies.”

Academy Award winner Hildur Guðnadóttir, Academy Award nominee Nicholas Britell, and Academy Award Nominee Kris Bowers headline LA Phil’s upcoming series, Reel Change: The New Era of Film Music

This exciting new program celebrates the evolution of modern film music with performances by Hildur Guðnadóttir, whose live performance will include music from her recent release Battlefield 2042  (Lakeshore Records) on November 19; Kris Bowers (November 20); and Nicholas Britell (November 21).  Get your tickets and more details at LA Phil online.
