What do you do when the love of your life disappears inexplicably two years ago, and you think you’ve just seen her? Josh Hartnett and Diane Kruger sizzle on screen as two lovers who experience an epic missed connection. Composer Cliff Martinez (Drive, The Lincoln Lawyer) pulls in all the instrumental elements for a score which hones in on the sense of longing, desperation and confusion as the story unfolds. Released by Lakeshore Records, music by Stereophonics, Lifehouse, Death Cab for Cutie, Snow Patrol, Broken Social Scene, The Stills, Mazzy Star, The Legends, The Shins, Jaime Wyatt, The Postal Service, Aqua Lung, Mogwai, Mates of State, +/-, múm, and Danny Lohner and Johnette Napolitano (who cover a Coldplay song), comprise a very mixtape soundtrack for lovers.

Matthew’s job as an advertising exec brings him back to Chicago and soon the past begins to haunt him again. Diane Kruger stars as “Lisa,” the girlfriend and Rose Byrne plays an obsessed woman who holds the key to Lisa’s disappearance. Matthew Lillard (“Luke”) and Jessica Paré (“Rebecca”) round out the cast. Composer Cliff Martinez’s score paints a canvas of nostalgia, heartbreak and determination to guide viewers along as the mystery unfolds through many separated puzzle pieces.

Get Well Soon, Harrison Ford!

We were saddened to hear of Harrison Ford‘s injury on the set of the new Star Wars film, shooting in England. According to this post at Mtv.Com we’re glad that he’s recovering just fine. Lakeshore Records released the score album to Extraordinary Measures (Original Music By Andrea Guerrà) for which Mr.Ford was an Executive Producer. Harrison Ford is also co-starring in the upcoming Lakeshore Entertainment film The Age Of Adaline with Blake Lively.

About Extraordinary Measures:

Brendan Frasier stars as John Crowley, a father who would go through extraordinary measures to save his ailing children, played by Meredith Droeger and Diego Velasquez. Keri Russell (FX’s The Americans, Mission: Impossible III) plays Aileen Crowley, the children’s mother. Harrison Ford plays the researcher who appears to be this family’s only hope for a break-through cure. Jared Harris (The Notorious Bettie Page) plays Dr. Kent Webber, who seems to pose a threat to the advancement of the research.

‘Fame’ Anniversary, Plus Watch Our Music Videos

Fame, the original 1980 film musical starring Debbie Allen, Gene Anthony Ray and Lee Curreri, portrayed the individual trials and tribulations of highly-gifted students who attended a performing arts high school in New York City. The film also spawned a long-running TV show (1982) and a stage musical. Lakeshore Records released a series of Fame soundtracks to the 2009 film remake (watch it on iTunes), which features a score album by Academy Award-nominated Composer Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Warrior), songs performed by Naturi Naughton (Lifetime’s The Client List) and a whole new generation of exceptionally talented performers.

Debbie Allen is the only cast member to appear in the original, TV and 2009 productions of Fame. The internal struggle to “make it” and fight through self doubt is as relevant now as it was back in 1980, and you’ll hear it in the music on Lakeshore Records‘ Fame albums.

Out today: The Walk of Shame (Various Artists) soundtrack is out today, ahead of the film debut. The movie Walk of Shame debuts in theaters on May 2. It’s a fantastic compilation of upbeat tracks that will either get you dancing or grooving in your car. If you’re looking for catchy music that tells you it’s sunny outside and time to play, then this is it. Look out for classic hits, remixed for this album: Walking In L.A. (“Motels” cover by Scott Spark & Corky James) and Everybody Have Fun Tonight (by Wang Chung).

“I’ve known Elizabeth forever, and she’s always been a friend — there’s this Hollywood family that you kind of feel like you’re a part of, and when a movie like this comes along, you get to go play with some of your family. So, Elizabeth and I — or Banksy, as we call her — we got to have fun with this movie. It’s great when you already have a rapport established and you’re already comfortable around one another. She knows that I say Uncle pretty quick — so, she asked me to put a dress on.”

Meet Academy Award-nominated Film Composer John Debney on Saturday, April 26 (12 noon to 2 p.m.) at Creature Features in Burbank, California. Debney, who scored the films Walk of Shame and Draft Day (both Lakeshore Records soundtrack releases), will be on hand to autograph CDs purchased from his repertoire.
