Regarding Susan Sontag: Watch The Tribeca Film Fest Award Winner Tonight On HBO, Soundtrack Coming Soon To iTunes!

Many have missed Sontag’s dissenting voice since her death in 2004. The frequency with which she visited topics like pain, human rights, war and violence suggest she’d have much to contribute to the conversations that whirl around us today and every day. Absent that, at least we have a documentary. –Time Magazine

Regarding Susan Sontag, the new documentary directed by Sundance and Tribeca Film Festival award winner Nancy Kates (Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin), airs tonight at 9 p.m. on HBO (check local listings). Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack, featuring the score by Emmy-winning composer Laura Karpman and Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum, coming soon to iTunes.

The Rover: David Michôd Film Receives 7 Nominations For 4th Australian Academy Of Cinema & Television Arts Awards Including Best Sound & Best Original Score By Antony Partos & Sam Petty

Congratulations goes to Director David Michôd and the The Rover team, who received seven Australian Academy of Cinema & Television Arts (AACTA) Awards nominations. The AACTA Awards are the equivalent of the Oscars® and the BAFTAs. Among the seven award nominations are:

Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack to Playing It Cool, the new film starring Chris Evans (Snowpiercer, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Michelle Monaghan (Better Living Through Chemistry, Source Code), Luke Wilson (Henry Poole Is Here, My Super Ex-Girlfriend), Topher Grace (Interstellar, Spider-Man 3), Anthony Mackie (Repentance, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Aubrey Plaza (NBC’s Parks and Recreation, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Phillip Baker Hall (People Like Us, Magnolia). The soundtrack features a score by Jake Monaco (Let’s Be Cops, Frozen, Runner, Runner). Switch Soundtrack Out Now Feat. The Score By Composer Brian Satterwhite, Watch The Award Winning Documentary Near You

“Switch,” a thorough and sober-minded documentary about the past, present and future of energy. –Washington Post

Lakeshore Records is pleased to release the soundtrack to Switch, featuring the score by award-winning Composer Brian Satterwhite (Man On A Moon: Richard Garriott’s Road To The Stars, Sushi: The Global Catch) — out now on iTunes. The CD will be available on February 10. As part of the Switch Energy Project, Switch is a documentary about changing the way we use energy, to realize the many economic and environmental benefits of efficiency. “Since all of these energy sources are connected, so is the music. I didn’t take a ‘paint-by-numbers’ approach applying a characteristic sound to each idea. They’re all connected so they all share similar sounds,” said Satterwhite.

Directed by Harry Lynch (Ride Around the World, Making the Modern) and featuring energy expert Dr. Scott Tinker, Switch has garnered film festival awards from around the world, including “Best of the Fest” at the Colorado Environmental Film Festival, “Official Selection” at the Savannah Film Festival, and “Official Selection” at Life Sciences Film Festival 2014 in Prague, to name a few.
