My expectations of a romantic comedy score aren’t usually very big and “Playing it cool” easily surpasses them. It’s short, it’s only a collection of moments and it has a theme I had time to recognize in 20 minutes of music. The score never drags and has a very enjoyable rhythm. Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack to Playing It Cool, the new film starring Chris Evans (Snowpiercer, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Michelle Monaghan (Better Living Through Chemistry, Source Code), Luke Wilson (Henry Poole Is Here, My Super Ex-Girlfriend), Topher Grace (Interstellar, Spider-Man 3), Anthony Mackie (Repentance, Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Aubrey Plaza (NBC’s Parks and Recreation, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Phillip Baker Hall (People Like Us, Magnolia).
