Brook’s score and the films soundtrack serve as the perfect musical backdrop for Eilis (Saoirse Ronan) as she journeys into 1950s America. The initial shackles of homesickness quickly diminish as a fresh romance sweeps Eilis into the intoxicating charm of love. But soon, her new vivacity is disrupted by her past, and Eilis must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within.

Quayle’s score has echo’s of Vangelis’ Blade Runner and mid 80s Tangerine Dream mixed in with contemporary artists like Cliff Martinez and Clint Mansell. The influences may all be there on the surface but dig a little deeper and Quayle is taking you on a musical decent into madness or euphoria, you decide!

‘Drive’ Special Anniversary Edition Vinyl: Available Now From Lakeshore Records & Invada

Cliff Martinez‘s iconic soundtrack to the cult classic film ‘Drive‘ by Nicolas Winding Refn is turning 5, and to mark the anniversary, Lakeshore Records & Invada Records will be co-releasing a limited edition version of the soundtrack.
The soundtrack features Martinez’s score and all other music used in the film, including the legendary tracks by College, Kavinsky and Desire.

This release will feature brand new liner notes written by the film’s director Nicolas Winding Refn, and also by the score’s composer Cliff Martinez. Pictured above, this edition is also presented with stunning new artwork by Lakeshore art director John Bergin.

This limited edition release will only be available from September 30th until December 31st. From January 1st 2017, this edition will be discontinued, after which time the original version will be available.

Cliff Martinez has made a name for himself as one of the soundtrack world’s most innovative composers, having worked on many other classics such as Solaris, Farcry 4, The Neon Demon and Lincoln Lawyer.

End Of Transmission Vinyl! The Outstanding Imagined Score By Wojciech Golczewski Is Coming To Vinyl & Cassette Through Lakeshore & Data Airlines

Following on from the digital release of Wojciech Golczewski’s End of Transmission, Lakeshore Records and Data Airlines are releasing the 7 song electronic masterpiece on limited edition 12″ and cassette.

End Of Transmission is a spin-off project from Golczewski’s Reality Check trilogy, one that involves Golczewski being alone in the studio with a vintage miniMoog, trying to paint a sound scape to the otherwise complete silence of space travel.

The minimalist direction of End of Transmission marries the simplistic approach of storytelling through the art of sound. Golczewski’s imagined soundtrack for the long journey into space, uses a blend of electronic and symphonic sensibilities, all the while retaining the replay factor. I must have listened to the album 3 times in a row before I even realised!

Some of you may be familiar with Golczewski’s score for the film 400_Days, released by Lakeshore Records in 2015. If you haven’t had a chance to hear the score yet, I urge you to do so as soon as possible!

End Of Transmission is already being hailed as one of the synth/electronica releases of the year and trust me when I say, this is one you won’t want to miss.
