The Stairs: BC Smith’s Original Score To Acclaimed Horror Film Releases Digitally!

Lakeshore Records has released the soundtrack for The Stairs, the independent horror film released by Cinedigm. The score by BC Smith (Smoke Signals, Skins), utilizes both acoustic and electronic instrumentation that subtly adds to the different characters and events in the film—a range that spans from idyllic to horrific.  The 21-track album is available now digitally on all major music services across the globe.  Keep reading to access the soundtrack listening links and more.  Dread Central premiered the tracks, “Jessie” and “ShroomSexKill,” which you can also listen to below.

Cinedigm and Fathom Events screened the film in theaters for one night only on August 12 in 700 theaters!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris Full Album Debuts Via Lakeshore Records and Ubisoft Music!

Lakeshore Records in partnership with Ubisoft have released Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris—Original Game Soundtrack featuring music by Los Angeles-based composer Stephanie Economou (“Jupiter’s Legacy”). The album is the companion to Ubisoft’s second major expansion of its hit game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. In The Siege of Paris, a new adventure set in Francia, Eivor will be set on a dangerous path full of gripping questlines across the Frankish countryside, towards one of the most infamous conquest battles in Viking history. Players will infiltrate the fortified city of Paris and the River Seine under a prolonged siege, uncover enemy secrets, and form strategic alliances to safeguard their clan’s future.

Here’s your chance to help your favorite composers land a World Soundtrack Awards “Public Choice Award” nomination!  This year, 10 of Lakeshore Records partners have found themselves long-listed for this year’s Public Choice Awards, and you have the power to get them nominated.  Only five nominees will be announced in September.  Head over to the World Soundtrack Awards website and cast your vote (voting ends August 15).  Will you vote for Peter Baert (The Water Man), Kris Bowers (The United States vs. Billie Holiday), Tara Busch (Jakob’s Wife), John Debney (Come Away, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey), Abel Korzeniowski (The Courier), Clint Mansell (Rebecca), Benji Merrison (SAS: Red Notice), Johan Söderqvist (The Last Vermeer), or Amelia Warner (Wild Mountain Thyme)?
