EXCLUSIVE! ‘Saw’ Anthology Two Volume Vinyl Release Artwork & Details Revealed, Available March 2018! | Bloody Disgusting

Charlie Clouser’s score to all eight films of the Saw film franchise (which includes the recently released Jigsaw film) will be released on glorious “Saw Blade Silver Vinyl Discs” in two volumes on March 16 via Lakeshore Records!  “I re-booted, re-mixed, and re-combined my favorite cues in an attempt to feature a balanced selection of the best musical moments from all eight films,” says Charlie.  The double vinyl sets will be available exclusively at FYE in the U.S. and through HMV in the UK on March 16.  See more details now at Bloody Disgusting.

Let The Games Begin: ‘Jigsaw’ Horror Film Now on Digital, Score By Charlie Clouser

For the Saw films follower, Jigsaw was a long-awaited eighth installment of this successful horror movie franchise!  Now available on iTunes Movies this week, this is a welcome offering for horror film devotees to kick off the new year strong.  Returning as composer is Charlie Clouser, who also scored the first seven films.  Expect to hear some familiar sounds while being blown away by the new score (out now on Lakeshore Records).

Man, I missed these two word cue titles and the anticipation before the new Zepp theme comes. Welcome back, seductive darkness and screeching sounds coupled with ambient melodies, this is the sound that Charlie Clouser has developed so well over 7 years and he cleverly opens “Chase Edgar” with a familiar motif before taking the rug from under my feet and going full frantic action. – Soundtrack Dreams

We’re closing out the month with the release of Charlie Clouser’s highly-anticipated score to Jigsaw, the eight film in the successful Saw film franchise!  With the “Stranger Things” Season 2 premiere on Netflix today, Halloween parties around the country at record stores celebrating with Lakeshore Records vinyl releases, it’s going to be a fun Halloween extended weekend!

Ahead of the highly-anticipated Jigsaw theatrical release, Lakeshore Records has premiered two score cues from the Jigsaw (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), and the only place you can hear it until the October 27th release date is at Dread Central!  Jonathan Barkan digs deep to uncover the unusual instrumentation used by Charlie Clouser on this score, as well as his previous scores throughout the Saw franchise.  It’s a fascinating behind-the-scenes “look” for film music fans!
