Let The Games Begin: ‘Jigsaw’ Horror Film Now on Digital, Score By Charlie Clouser

For the Saw films follower, Jigsaw was a long-awaited eighth installment of this successful horror movie franchise!  Now available on iTunes Movies this week, this is a welcome offering for horror film devotees to kick off the new year strong.  Returning as composer is Charlie Clouser, who also scored the first seven films.  Expect to hear some familiar sounds while being blown away by the new score (out now on Lakeshore Records).

Man, I missed these two word cue titles and the anticipation before the new Zepp theme comes. Welcome back, seductive darkness and screeching sounds coupled with ambient melodies, this is the sound that Charlie Clouser has developed so well over 7 years and he cleverly opens “Chase Edgar” with a familiar motif before taking the rug from under my feet and going full frantic action. – Soundtrack Dreams
