Premiere: Assassination Nation Vinyl Artwork Revealed! | Slash Film

The sure-to-be-cult-film Assassination Nation burned up the festival circuit last year before hitting theaters in September 2018. One key element to the film was the electronic film score courtesy of former Passion Pitt keyboardist Ian Hulquist. – Chris Evangelista, Slash Film

America: you asked for it! The good folks over at Slash Film have the exclusive premiere of the Assassination Nation – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack vinyl, featuring score by Ian Hultquist! The former Passion Pit band member is also known for scores to other feature films, such as A-X-L and Animals, released on Lakeshore Records.  Check out the full spread now at Slash Films.

The score is by Passion Pitt’s’s former keyboard player and synthesist Ian Hultquist.  It plays big on screen throughout the entire second half of the film, including extended sequences where it’s set to screen images for minutes at a time. This is the first truly contemporary electronic film score in some time that does not seek to duplicate the Stranger Things retro esthetic. Assassination Nation creates its own new and fresh contemporary electronic score that is both modern and very accessible to non-filmscore audiences in the same way that It Follows and Under The Skin did.

Record-Breaking ‘Three Identical Strangers’ Doc Returns To CNN February 2!

Award-winning documentary Three Identical Strangers earned a place in history as it became the most-watched CNN TV Films premiere ever (The Wrap) upon its broadcast debut last Sunday, and it’s coming back next week.  The riveting film about triplets who were separated at birth has won the Special Jury Prize at Sundance, the National Board of Review Top Documentary, the Critic’s Choice Best Documentary Award, and received a BAFTA Nomination for Best Documentary, among others!  Three Identical Strangers returns this Saturday, February 2 on CNN (check local listings).

Ahead of the Frontier – Original Series Soundtrack release, we take a look at The Bad Batch, also starring Jason Momoa! In 2017, Lakeshore Records and Mondo/Deathwaltz co-released the The Bad Batch – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.  The album is available digitally worldwide and the vinyl edition is available via Mondo.

The album features music by Darkside, White Lies, Ace of Base and more! Also featured is dialogue from the film’s stars including Keanu Reeves, Suki Waterhouse and The Bad Batch cast. Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack to  Sundance film Three Identical Strangers, directed by BAFTA-nominee Tim Wardle.  The album features score by British composer  Paul Saunderson (Starfish, “Strike Back” Cinemax series).  See the track list below the jump.  The film score will be available digitally on all music services Friday, December 14!  Three Identical Strangers film won the Special Jury Prize at Sundance, the National Board of Review Top Documentary, and the  Critic’s Choice Best Documentary Award,  among others!
