I saw Man Up a few months ago at CAAMFest, and Justin Chon’s directorial debut is so idiotically funny, in the spirit of movies like Dumb and Dumber, I found myself letting my guard down and thoroughly enjoying the heck out of it. The cast also includes Galadriel Stineman, Samantha Futerman, Amy Hill and Michael Wu (Kev’s dad). And bonus: an awesome score by Wendy Wang of The Sweet Hurt. –Angry Asian Man

Effie Gray Producer Donald Rosenfeld recently spoke to Huffington Post about what it took for him to make a film. As president of Merchant Ivory Productions for over 10 years, Rosenfeld was responsible for producing critically-acclaimed and award-winning films such as Howards End, Remains of the Day, and The Tree of Life. He speaks of being hands-on, selecting who works on his films, including composer Paul Cantelon and Dakota Fanning, whom he said, “She’s like Paul Newman who I worked with on Mr. and Mrs. Bridge.
