EMMYS 2023: Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon, Holly Amber Church, John Powell, Hans Zimmer + More Are Among Nominees!

This year, five Lakeshore Records partners are nominated in the Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music and Outstanding Music Composition categories!  From Holly Amber Church’s theme to Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, to Chris Bacon and Danny Elfman’s score to Wednesday, we’re especially pleased to see sci-fi and horror genres getting a lot of love this year.  With six music nominations from five partners–40 nominations across a total of eight partners overall—it’s yet another fruitful year for partners!  View the full breakdown below.

The deadline to vote is 10 p.m. August 28, 2023.  The EMMY’s ceremony has been moved to January 2024.  Details can be found at Emmys Online.

Wednesday: New EP Featuring ‘Paint It Black’ Cello Classical Cover Song Releases Digitally!

Everybody stand back because Wednesday Addams and the Nevermore Academy Orchestra are about to blow your mind with classical crossover songs from Tim Burton’s Netflix smash hit series, Wednesday!  The four-track EP features the infectious cello cover of the Rolling Stones classic, “Paint It Black.”  You can see Wednesday (played by Jenna Ortega) play this song in the very first episode.

Just in time for the holidays: Lakeshore Records has released Wednesday—Original Series Soundtrack featuring a darkly manic and coolly evocative orchestral score by the iconic team of Danny Elfman (The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Chris Bacon (“Bates Motel“).  Keep reading for additional album details and listening links!

The series is created, executive produced and written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, from director and executive producer Tim Burton, and stars Jenna Ortega Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Georgie Farmer, Naomi Ogawa, and Moosa Mostafa, with guest stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán and Fred Armisen.

Wednesday premieres November 23, 2022 globally on Netflix.
