ASCAP Composers’ Choice Awards: Nainita Desai, John Powell, Katya Richardson and Anna Waronker Secure Nominations!

Lakeshore Records soundtrack partners are in the running with five ASCAP Composers’ Choice Awards nominations for the 2024 awards season!  This year’s nominees include ASCAP members Nainita Desai (The Deepest Breath), John Powell (Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie), Katya Richardson (The Last Repair Shop) and Anna Waronker (“Yellowjackets” Season 2)!  View their award categories below accompanied by their film/television score streaming links!

The SCL Awards: John Powell Takes Home Win For Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie!

Congratulations goes out to John Powell, Davis Guggenheim, Apple, and all at team Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie on their SCL Awards Outstanding Original Score for an Independent Film win!  This makes 41 award wins (including four Emmy Award wins) for the captivating documentary about iconic actor Michael J. Fox.

2023 EMMY Awards: Lakeshore Records Partners Take Home Best Score and Main Title Wins!

Lakeshore Records partners win big at the 2023 Creative Arts Emmys!  Soundtrack partners won 11 awards across 4 shows, including “Wednesday” (Netflix) with wins for best Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon) and Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music (Danny Elfman); and Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie with a win for Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary Series or Special (John Powell)!
 
*As a reminder, The Creative Arts Emmys, which usually take place in September every year, were delayed due to the writers and actors’ strikes, so this is the 2023 awards for 2022-2023 qualifying productions.  View the award details below.  Congratulations to all the winners!

Critic’s Choice Documentary Awards: Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, The Deepest Breath + More Take Home Wins!

Davis Guggenheim’s Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie won big at the  Eighth Annual Critic’s Choice Documentary Awards!  The ceremony, which is an offshoot of the Critic’s Choice Awards (held in January 2024), recognizes the “finest in cinematic and television achievement.”  Lakeshore Records partners won 9 awards across 4 documentaries, which include wins from Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, The Deepest Breath, Being Mary Tyler Moore, and the upcoming The Last Repair Shop.  The Deepest Breath (Nainita Desai) and The Last Repair Shop (Katya Richardson & Kris Bowers) also received a Best Score nomination in addition to the wins.  View all the wins below.

EMMYS 2023: Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon, Holly Amber Church, John Powell, Hans Zimmer + More Are Among Nominees!

This year, five Lakeshore Records partners are nominated in the Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music and Outstanding Music Composition categories!  From Holly Amber Church’s theme to Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, to Chris Bacon and Danny Elfman’s score to Wednesday, we’re especially pleased to see sci-fi and horror genres getting a lot of love this year.  With six music nominations from five partners–40 nominations across a total of eight partners overall—it’s yet another fruitful year for partners!  View the full breakdown below.
