Jigsaw, the eight film in the Saw film franchise is now available on Blu-ray, DVD & 4K Ultra HD!  If ever there was a time to complete your Saw film collection, the time would be now.  With the announcement of the Saw Anthology vinyl release coming out next month, your bragging rights on owning the ultimate Saw collection are within your grasp!

Part of what made this franchise so special was Charlie Clouser’s haunting, chilling and gripping music, a feast of atmospheric texture that I still listen to quite often; I am not even only talking about the iconic “Hello Zepp” main theme that keeps being reworked with every new instalment [sic] but about the entire soundscape. – Soundtrack Dreams

Let The Games Begin: ‘Jigsaw’ Horror Film Now on Digital, Score By Charlie Clouser

For the Saw films follower, Jigsaw was a long-awaited eighth installment of this successful horror movie franchise!  Now available on iTunes Movies this week, this is a welcome offering for horror film devotees to kick off the new year strong.  Returning as composer is Charlie Clouser, who also scored the first seven films.  Expect to hear some familiar sounds while being blown away by the new score (out now on Lakeshore Records).

Man, I missed these two word cue titles and the anticipation before the new Zepp theme comes. Welcome back, seductive darkness and screeching sounds coupled with ambient melodies, this is the sound that Charlie Clouser has developed so well over 7 years and he cleverly opens “Chase Edgar” with a familiar motif before taking the rug from under my feet and going full frantic action. – Soundtrack Dreams

Jigsaw Soundtrack: Charlie Clouser Talks Scoring The Latest Saw Franchise Installment and Favorite Moments | Nerd Reactor

Clouser has been part of the franchise since the original 2004 film after leaving the band Nine Inch Nails and has taken the films to the next level of terrifying with his gritty scores, more specifically his Hello Zepp theme.  – Nerd Reactor

Ahead of the highly-anticipated Jigsaw theatrical release, Lakeshore Records has premiered two score cues from the Jigsaw (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), and the only place you can hear it until the October 27th release date is at Dread Central!  Jonathan Barkan digs deep to uncover the unusual instrumentation used by Charlie Clouser on this score, as well as his previous scores throughout the Saw franchise.  It’s a fascinating behind-the-scenes “look” for film music fans!
