EXCLUSIVE! Listen To Carpenter Brut’s Debut Single For ‘The Rise of The Synths’ Companion Album | Vehlinggo

The cut clearly reflects Carpenter Brut’s deft approach to synthwave — darksynth bathed in the melodic predilections of Tangerine Dream, Dario Argento, and the man for which the Carpenter Brut project derives its name; and scrubbed raw with the essence of SebastiAn. – Vehlinggo

‘The Rise Of The Synths’ Companion Album Will Feature French Synthwave Musician Carpenter Brut

The latest artist reveal on The Rise of The Synths Companion Album is Carpenter Brut, the French synthwave moniker of Franck Hueso.  Carpenter Brut is said to evoke “an encounter between Justice beats and the universe of John Carpenter.”  On Friday, March 3, Lakeshore will release the debut single featuring Carpenter Brut from The Rise of The Synths Companion Album on Bandcamp.  Stay tuned for a sneak preview this week!

In 2012, Carpenter Brut released EP I, which was an instant hit – especially with Le Perv and its music video which pays tribute to Fabio Fulci and ’80s slashers. Then came EP II, the powerful Roller Mobster, crowned the EP and became a reference in heavy synthwave. In early 2015 came the end of the trilogy started in 2012 with the release of the third EP, EPIII. Turbo Killer is part of his latest opus and the music video directed by Seth Ickerman may be considered as the synthesis of Carpenter Brut’s universe developed throughout the three EPs.

We wanted to write a feel good track that really showcased our style of blending guitars with synthesizers.  The synth scene that’s currently happening is great because there’s so many artists showcasing a fresh perspective on influenced sounds from the early days of synthesizers. – Dance With The Dead
