Lakeshore Records will release the single, “Wave Of Mutilation” by Daniel Davies & Sebastian Robertson digitally on June 9. The double A-side single includes “Shark Attack,” by Barnaby Austin. The release is from the new Sharknado 3: Oh Hello No! (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). More album details are forthcoming. Pre-order the album now to receive it as soon as it’s available on iTunes! Sharknado 3: Oh Hello No! premieres on July 22 at 9/8c on Syfy.

Hear A New Synth Twist On The Popular Pixies Song

Davies, who helped produce and performed on Carpenter’s recent Lost Themes, puts a new wave twist on the Doolittle cut. The scuzzy guitars of the original are replaced by buzzing synths, and the whole thing is slowed down just a hair. This does nothing to take any bite out of the song, however, and instead gives it an even more dramatic vibe. It’s hard to deny that the lyrics are a perfect fit for a Sharknado film, and Davies and Robertson present them in an incredibly solid take on the track. – Consequence of Sound

‘Defiance’ Executive Producers Kevin Murphy, Paul Leonard, Composer Bear McCreary And Song Writer/Producer Brendan McCreary Head Up Q&A Prior To A First Listen Of The New Album

On May 19, together with RemixNoise, Lakeshore Records in cooperation with NBC and the SyFy Channel hosted an album listening party in Hollywood to celebrate the release of Songs Of Defiance Season 2 (Original Television Soundtrack).

Honored guests included songwriter Brendan McCreary, show composer Bear McCreary, series executive producers Kevin Murphy and Paul Leonard, and vocalists Raya Yarbrough and Olivia Pucci. Joining in the festivities were writers, directors, musicians and friends of the Defiance team who filled up The Record Parlour in Hollywood.

The evening featured live performances of songs from the album featuring both Bear McCreary and Brendan McCreary, and vocalists Raya Yarbrough and Olivia Pucci. Thanks to all the Defiance friends and family who came out in support of this incredible soundtrack! See photos from the album listening party below and stay tuned for the next event!

Syfy’s Hit Series ‘Defiance’ Series Gets An Album Release Ahead Of Its Season 3 Premiere

Lakeshore Records is very pleased to release Defiance Season 2 (Original Television Soundtrack) available now digitally! The album features a mix of original songs and hit songs covered in the style of the various species co-existing in the town of Defiance. The soundtrack spotlights the work of Brendan McCreary (of Young Beautiful in a Hurry). Featured vocals by various artists include Fyfe Monroe, Raya Yarbrough, Olivia Pucci and more.
