Every week, something new and exciting happens at Lakeshore Records, so we’ll start with one of our many highlights: Saturday night got turned up on Vine with a series of six-second looped videos featuring the music of Carmen Rizzo from the Perfect Sisters soundtrack. Lakeshore Records Pick Of The Week: ‘Drag Me To Hell’ Soundtrack – Sam Raimi Film Stars Alison Lohman

This week, Lakeshore Records selects Drag Me To Hell (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), with music scored by Composer Christopher Young. The movie, directed by Sam Raimi, is a crowd pleaser for horror genre fans. Movie goers are taken on a filmic rollercoaster of a ride through outrageous scenes and dark humor. To watch Drag Me and listen to Young’s grandiose film score is an experience unto itself. Lakeshore Records is pleased to have released the soundtrack to Drag Me To Hell (rent it on iTunes), and we think you’ll enjoy all the thrills and chills embodied in this album.

Drag Me To Hell stars Alison Lohman as Christine Brown, a young lady who has a bright future ahead of her until becoming a victim of a curse. She only has three days to figure out how to prevent her soul from being taken and subsequently dragged to hell. Lohman also stars in Gamer, last week’s Lakeshore Records Pick of the Week. Composer Christopher Young, no stranger to working on horror films, is also known for his work on The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Hellraiser. Young’s other collaboration with Director Sam Raimi is Spider-Man 3.

Mother’s Day Movie Picks: 4 Soundtracks We Love

This Mother’s Day, Lakeshore Records reflects on several movies which tell the story of four different moms: Expecting, starring Michelle Monaghan (Better Living Through Chemistry); Little Miss Sunshine, starring Abigail Breslin (Perfect Sisters); People Like Us, starring Elizabeth Banks (Walk of Shame); and The Kids Are All Right, starring Julianne Moore, Annette Bening and The Hunger Games‘ Josh Hutcherson. Lakeshore Records is proud to have released the movie soundtracks to these endearing films.

Expecting also stars Radha Mitchell as “Lizzie,” who has given up trying to conceive after years of trying with her husband, until her best friend Andie (played by Michelle Monaghan), gets pregnant unexpectedly. Little Miss Sunshine (rent it on iTunes) is about a dysfunctional family who races across the country in a VW bus to get their little girl (Abigail Breslin) into a beauty pageant finals. The Kids Are All Right is about a modern family coming to terms with their daughter going off to college (Mia Wasikowska) and their son trying to find his biological father (Mark Ruffalo). People Like Us stars Chris Pine who, while taking care of the affairs of his recently deceased father, discovers he has a long-lost sister (Elizabeth Banks).

Available now for download is the new soundtrack for Wolf Creek 2, scored by Johnny Klimek. If you recall, Klimek worked on the score album for I, Frankenstein (with Reinhold Heil). Lakeshore Records is pleased to release the soundtrack to Wolf Creek 2, the sequel to the cult hit, Wolf Creek (2005), written and directed by Greg McLean.
