Jon Ekstrand Scores ‘Child 44’, The Tense Serial Killer Drama Which Unites The Stars Of Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Knight And The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

 

Lakeshore Records is very pleased to release the soundtrack to Child 44, featuring the score by Swedish composer Jon Ekstrand — available now digitally.   The new film stars Tom Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road, Warrior), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Rises, The Unborn), Noomi Rapace (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and more.  From acclaimed producers Ridley Scott, Michael Schaefer and Greg Shapiro, and directed by Daniel Espinosa (Easy Money, Outside Love), Child 44 opens in theaters on Friday, April 17 (check show times).  Preview the album below.

Exclusive Premiere! Age Of Adaline: Hear The ‘Start Again’ Lyric Video – Single Out Now, Score By Rob Simonsen Releases 4/21

It’s a lot of talent on one track, and the result is something stirring and beautiful, well befitting the film’s complicated themes of love and time. Pulsing synths lend an ethereal tone that is tethered gently by slow-drawn strings. Tonra’s voice rings clear and slightly sad as she entreats a lover, “Speak slowly/ Savor every word/ So we won’t forget that time/ Won’t wait for no one.” She reaches new heights on the words of the title as triumphant drums beat upward in an arc of hope. –Consequence of Sound

 

Lakeshore Records is excited to release the new single, “Start Again” — the end title song from The Age Of Adaline — written by Composer Rob Simonsen and Faux Fix (Katie Chastain and Nathan Johnson), featuring vocals by Elena Tonra.  The Age Of Adaline, starring Blake Lively, Michiel Huisman, Kathy Baker with Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn — opens in theaters on Friday, April 24.  The full score album releases on April 21.  Watch the full lyric video below.
