For a good time, travel back in time (and we mean way back) to the time of Year One!  Lakeshore Records released the soundtrack to this classic comedy starring Jack Black (The D Train, Nacho Libre), Michael Cera (Superbad, Juno), Olivia Wilde (Better Living Through Chemistry, Butter) and Juno Temple (Horns, Little Birds).   Featuring score by Theodore Shapiro (Infinitely Polar Bear – available June 19Tropic Thunder), the album is a collectible for Jack Black movie fans.  See below for more details on the film and soundtrack!

Sundance Film Festival Winner ‘Cartel Land’ To Premiere At The Human Rights Watch Film Festival (June 11)

The Score By H. Scott Salinas And Jackson Greenberg Supports The Pace Of The Heart-Pounding Documentary

 

The festival will begin on June 11 with a fundraising Benefit Night for Human Rights Watch featuring Matthew Heineman’s harrowing look into Mexico’s drug war, “Cartel Land.” Winner of the US documentary directing and cinematography awards at the Sundance Film Festival, the film exposes two contemporary vigilante movements, one on either side of the US-Mexico border. -Read the full story at IndieWIRE/Shadow and Act

‘Effie Gray’ Producer Donald Rosenfeld Talks Working With Dakota Fanning And What It Takes To Make A Movie

Effie Gray Producer Donald Rosenfeld recently spoke to Huffington Post about what it took for him to make a film.  As president of Merchant Ivory Productions for over 10 years, Rosenfeld was responsible for producing critically-acclaimed and award-winning films such as Howards End, Remains of the Day, and The Tree of Life.  He speaks of being hands-on, selecting who works on his films, including composer Paul Cantelon and Dakota Fanning, whom he said, “She’s like Paul Newman who I worked with on Mr. and Mrs. Bridge. They embrace the luck of their life as opposed to resting on their laurels… She’s like a great Hollywood star from the Garbo era.”  Read the full interview at Huffington Post.

Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack to Cartel Land, featuring original score by H.
