Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack to Narcos, the new Netflix Original Series starring Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) and Wagner Moura (Elysium). The album features score by Pedro Bromfman (Elite Squad 1 & 2, Robocop 2014, They Killed Sister Dorothy). Directed by Jose Padilha (Elite Squad 1 & 2, Robocop 2014), Narcos premieres Friday, August 28 on Netflix.
It is with great sadness that we have learned of the loss of one of Hollywood’s most consummate composers having scored such classic and timeless films as Titanic, Braveheart and Field of Dreams. James Horner won two Academy Awards® and was nominated for eight including Avatar, A Beautiful Mind and Apollo 13.
His contributions to the art of cinema and film music can not be overstated.
Lakeshore Records had the pleasure and great occasion to work with Mr. Horner on three albums for the films The Spiderwick Chronicles, The Life Before Her Eyes and The Chumscrubber.
Every record represented the artistry and commitment to the craft that he had become so well known for in his work. We were blessed with the opportunities and we are better for having known him.
We have lost a legend too soon.
