Lakeshore Records has released the debut single, “Believe (Feat. Aloe Blacc)” by Sa-Roc, Gingger Shankar and D*L*P, from the forthcoming And She Could Be Next various artists soundtrack!  Listen to the single below.

And She Could Be Next composer Gingger Shankar reached out to musician friends to create a voting rights companion album — with the docuseries score woven through — to help further its message and reach.  The series debuted nationally on the PBS documentary series POV on June 29 and June 30, 2020.  Be sure to subscribe and stay tuned for more details on the forthcoming variou artists soundtrack!

Broadway Records Releases Nick Cordero: Live Your Life Live At Feinstein’s/54 Below – Available Digitally

Broadway Records has released Live Your Life: Live at Feinstein’s/54 Below, the recording of Nick Cordero’s cabaret performance, directed and music directed by Emmy Award-winning Producer and Music Director, Michael J Moritz Jr.  Prior to being diagnosed with coronavirus, Cordero and Moritz had been planning to release the recording of his celebrated cabaret act from 2019, but his plans were put on hold. Following his passing, the album will be released with his family’s blessing to honor his legacy and celebrate the incredible talent and life that was tragically cut short.  Proceeds from the album will go to benefit his wife, Amanda Kloots, and their young son Elvis.  The album is released September 17th, 2020 on all major music retailers, to commemorate what would have been Nick’s 42nd birthday.

World Soundtrack Awards 2020: Nathan Barr and Carter Burwell Secure Nominations!

The annual World Soundtrack Awards is coming October 24, 2020 and unlike previous years, the event will be livestreamed in .  Lakeshore Records soundtrack partners Nathan Barr (“The Great”) and Carter Burwell (“The Morning Show”) are both up for TV Composer of the Year.  See the full list at World Soundtrack Awards online.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary, the WSA is proud to welcome back Alexandre Desplat, record holder of the World Soundtrack Film Composer of the Year Award, Gabriel Yared, who will receive a Lifetime Achievement, and Michael Abels, Discovery of the Year 2019.
