Lakeshore Records: Composer Henry Jackman for Monsters Vs. Aliens

Jackman’s score is as lush and lively as one might expect, making use of a large orchestra, choir and electronics to give the fantastical story a human core. – Movie Music UK

On the occasion of The Predator full score album release this week, we dedicate this Throwback Thursday to Henry Jackman and take a look at a Lakeshore Records release album featuring a score by Jackman!  Aside from the score cues, the album also features tracks by The Buchanan Brothers, The Exciters, The B-52’s and Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs.

Directed by Rob Letterman and Conrad Vernon, Monsters Vs. Aliens is an animated film featuring the voices of Reese Witherspoon, Rainn Wilson and Stephen Colbert.  The film was one of the highest-grossing films of 2009 earning over $381 million worldwide.  Fun fact: the film was written by Maya Forbes and Wallace Wolodarsky (Infinitely Polar Bear).
