Coming Soon: The ‘Captain Fantastic’ Song Album Features Performances by Sigur Rós, Jónsi & Alex, Yo-Yo Ma and The Film’s Cast!

Lakeshore Records will release the Captain Fantastic (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) both digitally and on CD July 15th, 2016. The album features original songs performed by Sigur Rós, Jónsi & Alex, Israel Nash and Kirk Ross. Actors in the film such as Viggo Mortensen, George MacKay, Samantha Isler and Annalise Basso, perform renditions of songs like “Sweet Child O Mine,” “Scotland The Braver,” and “I Shall Be Released” specifically for the film.

Alex Somers of Jónsi & Alex composed the score for the film, which is being released separately.

Bleecker Street presents CAPTAIN FANTASTIC in theaters worldwide starting July 8, 2016. Lakeshore Records will release the CAPTAIN FANTASTIC – The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack both digitally and on CD July 15th, 2016.
