Now a New York Times Critics Pick film, the music-driven John Carney drama sees a mother trying to bond with her teenaged son through music. One of those pivotal moments comes during the creation of the song, “Dublin 07.” As revealed in a recent podcast interview, the song came straight up from a demo by John Carney during the songwriting process with the film’s composer, Gary Clark!
