Halloween Month: Spooky and Haunted Houses Week – Castle Freak

We kick off spooky and haunted houses week with the 2020 remake of Castle Freak, starring Clair Catherine, Kika Magalhães and Jake Horowitz.  If you haven’t seen the original 1995 film starring Barbara Crampton, who is now an executive producer on this film, there will be no spoilers here.  H.P. Lovecraft is credited as one of the writers as the film is loosely adapted from his stories, “The Outsider” and “The Dunwich Horror“.  Also produced by the iconic Fangoria magazine and media brand, creepy and twisted film aficionados can tune into Castle Freak on Shudder.  

Legendary horror composer Fabio Frizzi lends his distinctive touch to the film’s score, which you can now stream on all major digital music services worldwide.

In case there is any confusion, Fangoria’s Porno is not an actual porno movie.  The horror-comedy has been playing on VOD platforms since its May 2020 film release,  and now you can listen to the full soundtrack, released digitally via Lakeshore Records!

Premiere: Carla Patullo Debuts ‘Who’s There’ For Fangoria’s ‘Porno’ Horror Comedy | Dread Central

Fangoria’s Porno horror comedy will see a soundtrack release, courtey of Lakeshore Records!  To give you a taste of what’s to come, listen to “Who’s There” by Composer Carla Patullo (HBO’s My Name Is Maria De Jesus, Lotte That Silhouette Girl) exclusively at Dread Central.  Lakeshore will release Carla Patullo’s score digitally on September 11, 2020, but you can pre-order and pre-save the album now.  See purchase, the album track list and more below.

Making its world premiere at SXSW, Porno was an Official Selection at Frightfest London, Fantasia, The Overlook, Fantaspoa, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and Sitges.
