‘Dear White People’ Receives Top 5 Best Reviewed Film Golden Tomato + GLAAD Media Awards Nom, Film Now On VOD, Own The Soundtrack!

Congratulations goes to Dear White People for landing the top 5 films list from RottenTomatoes.com, scoring the coveted Golden Tomato, and a nomination for the GLAAD Media Awards.  The Golden Tomato was awarded to only five movies this year, based on the “Best-Reviewed Movies And TV Shows of 2014.”  Dear White People (soundtrack released by Lakeshore Records) is one of five nominees in the Outstanding Film – Limited Release category.  See the full story at TheWrap.  If you haven’t seen Dear White People yet, you can now rent or own the digital HD movie on iTunes.  The Blu-ray/DVD will be available on February 3.

Lakeshore Records will release the score album to the critically-acclaimed film, Dear White People, directed by Justin Simien.  Scored by Kathryn Bostic (Middle of Nowhere, I Will Follow), the movie is now playing nationwide (check show times).  In describing her score, Bostic said, “We hear classical, hip hop, electronic, jazz, etc. and it all makes sense and really serves the storytelling.  I got to play around with many different textures alongside orchestral instrumentation.  And of course, as a pianist I loved being able to add this to the score particularly in the ‘love theme’ I created.”  Dear White People (Original Motion Picture Score) is available on iTunes on November 18.  Stay tuned for the download link!
