Record Store Day is upon us and you’ll not want to miss all the offerings awaiting you in local record stores! In partnership with our friends and partners at Fire Records in the UK, the beloved Halt And Catch Fire Volume 2 soundtrack (score by Paul Haslinger) and USS Callister (score by Daniel Pemberton) comes to vinyl! In addition, Lakeshore Records (in partnership with EA Games) has offered the epic video game score to Battlefield V (score by Johan Söderqvist and Patrik Andrén) as an exclusive Picture Disc vinyl. Again, these records are Record Store Day exclusives, so hit up your favorite local record store to secure your copy stat!

Throwback Thursday: Clint Mansell’s Award Winning Black Mirror: San Junipero Score

In celebration of the Out Of Blue soundtrack release, Lakeshore Records dedicates this edition of Throwback Thursday to one of Clint Mansell’s most beloved releases: the score to double EMMY®-winning San Junipero episode (Season 3, Episode 4) of the wildly popular Black Mirror series on Netflix! The two Primetime EMMY® wins were for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special and Outstanding Television Movie. The episode also won two BAFTAs TV Awards, among others.

This week, Lakeshore Records proudly presents Alexandre Desplat’s score to New York Times Critic’s Pick film, The Sisters Brothers, starring John C. Lakeshore Congratulates Team Black Mirror On Their EMMYs Win For USS Callister!

Lakeshore Records congratulates the team behind Black Mirror and their EMMY-winning episode, USS Callister!  The episode is scored by Daniel Pemberton, who is also known for his Lakeshore release, One Strange Rock.  The USS Callister episode was written by William Bridges and Charlie Brooker, who share the award for Outstanding Writing For A Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special.  Congrats to all the winners and nominees this year!  See the full list at EMMYS.com.

Film Music Magazine selects Mark Isham’s Black Mirror: Arkangel score for their August Soundtrack Picks! Mark, who has been recognized for just about every award, produced scores for Hollywood’s most diverse film and TV productions, earning an Academy Award® nomination for Best Original Score for Oscar® Winner A River Runs Through It.  And, with scores to the critically-acclaimed Nell (starring Jodie Foster), Academy Award®-nominated Reservation Road movie, to the recent the TV score to fairy tale-centric “Once Upon A Time” series, as well as the Lakeshore action film score to Mechanic: Resurrection, what can’t the versatile composer do?  In the tech-horror Black Mirror episode, “Arkangel,” Isham provides a haunting, cinematic score to this near future (or near present) story about the potential horrors of helicopter parenting.
