2023 EMMY Awards: Lakeshore Records Partners Take Home Best Score and Main Title Wins!

Lakeshore Records partners win big at the 2023 Creative Arts Emmys!  Soundtrack partners won 11 awards across 4 shows, including “Wednesday” (Netflix) with wins for best Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon) and Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music (Danny Elfman); and Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie with a win for Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary Series or Special (John Powell)!
 
*As a reminder, The Creative Arts Emmys, which usually take place in September every year, were delayed due to the writers and actors’ strikes, so this is the 2023 awards for 2022-2023 qualifying productions.  View the award details below.  Congratulations to all the winners!

SAG Awards 2024: John Wick 4, Lawmen: Bass Reeves, The Morning Show Secure Nominations!

The Screen Actors Awards (aka SAG Awards) ceremony is entering its Netflix era: slated to stream live at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium, nominees such as John Wick 4 (Lionsgate), Lawmen: Bass Reeves (Paramount+), and The Morning Show (Apple TV+), and more, will vie for the “The Actor” award!  Lakeshore Records partners received five (5) overall SAG Awards nominations across three productions!  View the nominations breakdown below.  View the full list at SAG Awards online.  The 30th SAG Awards will be handed out on February 24, 2024 and streamed live on Netflix.

2024 Annie Awards: The Legend of Vox Machina, The Inventor, Pacemaker Secure Nominations!

The Annie Awards nominations are in!  Stop motion film The Inventor (Blue Fox Entertainment), animated series The Legend of Vox Machina (Titmouse/Amazon), and animated short Pacemaker (A Running Commentary) secure 2024 Annie Awards nominations!  To note this year, we see represented a composer — Christopher Lennertz — transition from music composition to a directing role!

Oscars 2024: Ben Proudfoot and Kris Bowers’ ‘The Last Repair Shop’ Secures A Nomination!

Major congratulations to Ben Proudfoot and Kris Bowers on their Academy Award Best Documentary Short Film nomination for The Last Repair Shop!  Premiering last year at the Telluride Film Festival, the film would eventually go on to earn a Critic’s Choice Documentary Awards win, an HMMA Awards Best Score nomination (by Katya Richardson & Kris Bowers), a Black Reel Awards Outstanding Short Film nomination, and an Astra Award Best Short Film nomination!  This is Proudfoot and Bowers’ second Academy Award-nominated collaboration since 2020’s A Concerto Is A Conversation.

Congratulations to all the nominees this year!  The 96th Academy Awards ceremony will take place March 10, 2024 at the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC.  View the full list at The New York Times.
