‘Sway Lake’ Composer Ethan Gold On His Jazz Era Score | Jazziz

His latest collaboration with his film director brother Ari Gold, writing the score for The Song of Sway Lake – which stars Rory Culkin and Rober Sheehan – finds Ethan delivering both an original score and original songs inspired by the nostalgia and setting of the film, as well as the vocal jazz music of the ‘30s and ‘40s. – Jazziz

Composer Ethan Gold was tasked to create a score and songs authentic to the ’30s and ’40s era for The Song of Sway Lake.  In the interview with Jazziz, Ethan explains how the period-correct music — which plays a central role — was a labour of love and often fooled audiences.  Check out the full interview now at Jazziz.

The film has just completed its US theatrical run, with more screenings on the way in Europe, but you can now watch the film online.
