Tokyo Vice: Season 2 Score By Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans Releases Digitally, Series Now Streaming on Max!

Loosely inspired by American journalist Jake Adelstein’s first-hand account of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat, season two of the series, filmed on location in Tokyo, takes us deeper into the city’s criminal underworld as Adelstein (Ansel Elgort) comes to realize that his life, and the lives of those close to him, are in terrible danger.

Tokyo Vice: Series Score By Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans Releases Digitally!

Endeavor Content and Lakeshore Records have released Tokyo Vice–Original Series Soundtrack, featuring score by GRAMMY-nominated composers Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans (“Ozark,” The Lodge, The One I Love).  AV Club says the score “has a propulsive energy” and JoBlo says Toky Vice “has all of the elements of a solid feature film spread over a season’s worth of television” thanks to the aid of the “excellent musical score.” ⁠ View the full album details below.

The HBO Max original crime drama from Endeavor Content and Japan’s WOWOW debuted the first three episodes on April 7 and will be followed by two episodes debuting each Thursday.

Stylish Crime Series ‘Tokyo Vice’ Premiere April 7 on HBO Max (Trailer)

Coming April 7, 2022 to HBO Max is the highly-anticipated crime series, Tokyo Vice, starring Ken Watanabe and Ansel Elgort. Based on the 2009 memoir by Jake Adelstein, who spent 12 years as the only American reporter admitted to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Press Club.  The series chronicles Adelstein’s first-hand experiences investigating the criminal underbelly of a neon-soaked Tokyo from the nineties to the early aughts.  The series features score by EMMY®-nominated co-composers Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans (“Ozark”, The Lodge, The White Tiger).  Watch the trailer below.

The White Tiger: Listen to ‘Which God’ By Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Premiere)

The White Tiger

Ahead of the release of The White Tiger—Music From the Netflix Film, Lakeshore Records premieres “Which God,” by Saunder Jurriaans and Danny Bensi (“Ozark”).  The strikingly eclectic score is a unique blend of eastern and western sounds, traditional Indian instruments such as the Dilruba and Santoor mix with western strings and piano, and all are anchored by traditional percussive instruments.

Lakeshore Records will release the album digitally on January 22. The Netflix film written for the screen and directed by Ramin Barhrani is in theaters now and streaming on Netflix January 22.
