The eclectically emotive electronic score incorporates a wide array of instruments and machinery as it veers from surreal lightheartedness to extremely unnerving following the mood of the dark satire. – ComingSoon.net

I am sure I haven’t heard such perfect ambient pieces like “Resolution”, “I can’t understand what you’re saying” or “Whoever you really are” anywhere else this year… Count this one as one of my favourite scores of 2017. – Soundtrack Dreams
In this latest review of Gregory Tripi’s score to Rememory, Soundtrack Dreams showers the score with praise! See the full review here. Rememory stars Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”), Julia Ormond (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Legends of the Fall), Henry Ian Cusick (“The 100”, “Lost”), Martin Donovan (Ant-Man, Silent Hill: Revelation) and the late Anton Yelchin (Rudderless, Green Room).

Continuing on our scifi and fantasy film kick this week, we bring you Penelope (watch it on Netflix), a fairy tale movie which stars Christina Ricci (Buffalo ’66) as the title character, “Penelope,” and two X-Men: Days of Future Past stars: James McAvoy (Wanted) and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones). The soundtrack, released by Lakeshore Records, comes with a score by Composer Joby Talbot (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy).
Penelope is a modern day fairy tale about an aristocratic girl who is born cursed with a facial disfigurement in the form of a pig’s snout. Only through the unconditional love of a man can the curse be lifted. Watch this interview with Composer Joby Talbot, as he explains how he expressed the various character’s personalities (wicked, comical) and what Penelope sees for the first time (excitement, wonder), when she, isolated all her life, finally gets to experience the outside world freely.
