In this edition of Throwback Thursday, we revisit the first Crank soundtrack, featuring various artists such as Paul Haslinger, Quiet Riot, Jefferson Starship, David Rolas and more. The album is peppered with dialog from the film, taking us on a guided soundtrack tour through the adrenaline-fueled action. The film was released in 2006 and stars Jason Statham, Amy Smart, a post-Napoleon Dynamite Efren Ramirez and a fun cameo by the late Chester Bennington. In this latest edition of Throwback Thursday, we take a look back at Joseph Bishara’s haunting score to The Vatican Tapes! Known for his work on the Insidious trilogy, The Conjuring and Annabelle, this album is a treat for fans of horror scores. Watch our playlist below!

Directed by Mark Neveldine (Pathology, Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance, Gamer), the film is describe as “a new horrifying take on the Anti-Christ story that throws a wrench in all accepted conventions of how such a think[sic] might happen” (HorrorFreakNews.com) and “Ms. Dudley works up an expressive arsenal of gestural detail and shades of mood that are worth watching.” (The New York Times)
