EXCLUSIVE! Listen To A ‘Suits LA’ Series Score Cue By Christopher Tyng

Die hard fans of the Suits series will recall award-winning composer Christopher Tyng (“Futurama”) as the longstanding series composer! He returns as the composer of the spinoff series, Suits LA, and we’re treated to a premiere of the soundtrack in the form of “You’re On Your Own.”
Notes Tyng: “Aaron Korsh, creator of both ‘Suits‘ and ‘Suits LA,’ once summed up the ‘Suits‘ story and character universe as–like himself–both ‘intense’ and ‘silly.’ My aim with the music I’ve created for ‘Suits LA’–and curated for listening here–is to represent both of these sides of our show. There are themes that underscore the intense and emotional situations and challenges our characters face in their workplaces and personal lives; and there’s the musical energy and pace that represents the high-powered–and often humorous–sparring and gamesmanship that our characters engage in.”
The emotive piano and string-based score provides an atmospheric backdrop to the Drama series. Suits LA created by Aaron Korsh stars Stephen Amell, Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt and Bryan Greenberg. The series is currently airing new episodes on NBC and available episodes are streaming on Peacock.
Suits LA (Original Series Soundtrack) will release digitally on Friday, May 16, 2025 on Lakeshore Records. Keep reading for further details.

ABOUT CHRISTOPHER TYNG
CHRISTOPHER TYNG is an American musician, songwriter, producer, composer, and technologist. He holds numerous awards from BMI & SESAC; two OFTA nominations and a win for best TV theme (Futurama).
As a musician, Tyng draws on a deep knowledge of musical styles and cultures, bringing a unique and signature approach to his music. From songwriting and producing bands in a variety of genres, to scoring with live orchestras, to performing every instrument himself on solo endeavors, Tyng is equally at home in front of microphones, behind the mixing console, onstage performing live, or creating bespoke sound design elements with his extensive collection of acoustic, electronic, and world instruments. With each project, Tyng continues to cultivate new musical territory that is memorable, emotional, and compelling.
As a composer of original scores for television and film, Tyng’s notable projects range from the electronic and neo-soul music on the USA Network series (and subsequently record-breaking Netflix hit) SUITS, as well as the follow-up spinoffs SUITS LA and PEARSON; the moody score for the Golden Globe nominated drama RESCUE ME; the indie-influenced score for the genre-defining FOX series THE OC; and of course the space-age retro electronica theme and live orchestral score for Matt Groening’s Emmy award-winning and long-running FUTURAMA. Rounding out this resume are numerous other scores and songs for independent and major TV and film releases from ABC, NBCUniversal, Warner Bros., Sony, FOX, HBO, Touchstone, Polygram, and Interscope.
Tyng performs live electronica under his alter-ego ARKITXT and is the Creative Director and Executive Producer for large-scale immersive music and visual events under his production banner IMMERXION. Among ImmerXion’s art installations, events and concert productions have been EDM main stages for music festivals including WONDERFRONT (San Diego), LUCIDITY (Santa Barbara); ImmerXion’s own branded events; and Burning Man’s PYRAMORPHOSIS, a custom-fabricated 50,000-pixel 3D-mapped LED Art Car and mobile music performance stage.
Beyond writing music, Tyng is accomplished at inventing original music instruments, equipment, visual technology, performance environments, experiences and workflows. He has been instrumental in the design and implementation of multiple audio facilities including a post/dubbing studio for Futurama at FOX. Tyng’s own studio is noted as unique among studios the world over; it features a one-of-a-kind mixing room with a revolving floor (where the creator/producer remains in the acoustic “sweet spot” of the room – no matter what workstation is being used); a multi-camera live soundstage and performance space with concert sound and lighting; editorial suites; and recording/writing rooms with a carefully curated collection of rare instruments, vintage analog and modular synthesizers, and boutique recording gear.
