ASCAP Screen Music Awards 2022: Marco Beltrami, Bear McCreary and Giorgio Moroder Are Among Winners!

The winners of this year’s ASCAP Screen Music Awards and Composers’ Choice Awards have been announced!  The awards honors ASCAP Composers and songwriters for their work during the 2021 calendar year.  From Bear McCreary (Foundation, The Walking Dead) to Giorgio Moroder (Queen of the South) to Yair Elazar Glotman and Lucy Railton (False Positive), this year’s list of honorees reflect “the new golden age of streaming television.”  See our featured list of winners below.

Foundation: Join Composer Bear McCreary For The SCL Screening and Q&A!

Join Foundation composer Bear McCreary and The Society of Composers and Lyricists (The SCL) for their exclusive screening and YouTube live stream Q&A on Tuesday at 4PM PST.  This event is free to members.  Moderated by Brenna. Ehrlich (Rolling Stone), current members can LOGIN to RSVP now.  To join The SCL, sign up on their Join Page to gain access to this exclusive event!

Attendees will receive screening instructions upon registration, and a Q&A YouTube Live Stream link on Tuesday, November 16, 10 minutes prior.  Attendees can ask questions on YouTube chat, and the SCL Host will pass them on to the Moderator. The SCL Member Code of Conduct applies to online Q&As.

Halloween Month: The Walking Dead, The Cured + Two More For Your Zombie Horror Collection

Halloween Month wouldn’t be complete without mentioning zombies!  While the genre has had its many creative twists and turns, you can’t think of the undead these days without mention of the worldwide hit series, “The Walking Dead!“  As for film picks, we recommend the 2018 film, The Cured, starring Elliot Page.  Keep for two more zombie horror picks for you to enjoy this season.
