‘BROOKLYN’ Composer Michael Brook On His Score For ‘Into The Wild’

In 2007, BROOKLYN composer Michael Brook received a Golden Globe® nomination for his score to Into The Wild (released by Lakeshore Records).  The film went on to earn two Academy Award® nominations plus numerous others.  Lakeshore Records sat down with Michael Brook then to discuss his work for Into The Wild, and you can hear it below.  If you haven’t seen the film yet, you can watch it On Demand on iTunes.

This year Michael Brook composed the score to the critically acclaimed Sundance Film BROOKLYN which will also screen at The Toronto Film Festival on September 13th.  The album will be released on Lakeshore Records later this fall.  Stay tuned for more details on this extraordinary film and score.

New On Netflix: The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby Starring Jessica Chastain & James McAvoy, Music By Son Lux Feat. Faux Fix & More

Last fall, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby made headlines for being one of the most romantic (and touching) dramas of the year.   Starring Jessica Chastain (Interstellar, The Tree of Life) and James McAvoy (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Wanted), there were three versions of the film: “Him,” “Her” and “Them” versions.  The soundtrack was a highly-anticipated release, featuring “No Fate Awaits Me” by Son Lux feat. Faux Fix.

The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby “Songs From The Film” Coming Soon

Lakeshore Records is pleased to release The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby (Songs From The Film), a soundtrack album presenting music of various artists featured in the film.  The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby stars Jessica Chastain (as “Eleanor Rigby”), Viola Davis (as “Professor Lillian Friedman”), Ryan Eggold, Bill Hader, Isabelle Huppert, William Hurt, and James McAvoy (as “Conor Ludlow”).  The love story was filmed with three perspectives: a “him,” “her” and “them” version, with the “them” version to debut in theaters on September 12.  Read the review at Vulture.  Stay tuned for more soundtrack details.

The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, written and directed by Ned Benson, screened at Cannes and Toronto International Film Festival.  The “him” and “her” versions are expected to premiere on October 10, 2014 at select theaters.
