Happy International Synthesizer Day!

Happy International Synthesizer Day!  On this occasion, we take a moment to recognize the many examples of the impact which the synthesizer has made to modern film and TV music: many of your favorite scores wouldn’t even exist without it.  And, we can’t go through the day without recognizing Bob Moog, founder of Moog Music, who was an American engineer and pioneer of electronic music.  He is best known as the inventor of the Moog synthesizer.

Check out some of Lakeshore Records‘ recent electronic scores, from ambient and moody cues (The Handmaid’s Tale, Before The Flood, Distance Between Dreams, “Stranger Things”), to rhythmic and danceable tracks (Patriots Day“Mr. Robot”, Nerve, The Rise of The Synths EP1, Crawl Into The Narrow Caves).  Some scores were even produced from vintage analog synthesizers and sequencers, such as Distance Between Dreams and “Stranger Things”.  What are some of your favorite synthscores from Lakeshore?
