“Remarkable. A splendidly graceful and quietly magical documentary. – Variety

Part wildlife documentary, part urban love letter. Kedi may only be a slender 79 minutes long, but it’s a lyrical and surprising philosophical tribute to the therapeutic power of pets.  – Jimi Famurewa, Empire

‘Animals’ Starring David Dastmalchian And Kim Shaw Now On Showtime!

Acclaimed indie film, Animals, is now airing on Showtime!  Directed by Collin Schiffli, who was nominated for the Grand Jury Award in Narrative Feature at SXSW, the film was written by David Dastmalchian, who won the Special Jury Award for Courage In Storytelling at SXSW.  Featuring score by Ian Hultquist (formerly of Passion Pit) and an awesome indie music compilation curated by David Dastmalchian, you’ll be immersed in this gritty story that has received positive reviews by Complex Magazine, IndieWIRE, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and more!

The drama centers around Bobbie (She’s Out Of My League’s Kim Shaw) and Jude (Ant-Man’s David Dastmalchian), a young couple living in their broken-down car parked alongside Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo.  Their days are a continuous ritual of theft and scoring until they must confront the difficult truth of their relationship after one of them is hospitalized.  Animals is now airing on Showtime’s The Movie Channel (check local listings), available On Demand (rent it on iTunes) and on DVD.
