Premiering today over at The Playlist are two exclusive tracks from the forthcoming soundtrack to Luce, entitled “Skyhooker” and “Luce’s Theme (St Mary Redcliffe)”.  The two cues are composed by the critically acclaimed composing duo Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow, whose recent releases include the scores to Annihilation, Free Fire and the Amazon series, “Hanna”.  Invada Records will release the album internationally in conjunction with Lakeshore Records (North America) digitally August 2. 

NEON will release the film based on the acclaimed play by JC Lee and directed by Julius Onah in theaters August 2.  See the full track list below.

Throwback Thursday: Ryan Coogler’s ‘Fruitvale Station’ Film

In this Throwback Thursday dedication, we take a look at Fruitvale Station, directed by Ryan Cooler (Black Panther).  Similar to the forthcoming The Last Black Man in San Francisco, this film takes place in and around the Bay Area — the East Bay — Oakland, to be precise.  Another similarity is the film is based on a true story, albeit a tragic one.  

Fruitvale Station stars Michael B. Jordan, Melonie Diaz, Kevin Durand, and Academy Award® winner Octavia Spencer. Cue up this early Ryan Coogler film and listen to the soundtrack below, featuring score by Ludwig Goransson!
