Paul Haslinger-Scored ‘Halt And Catch Fire’ Series Makes Variety’s Top 20 Best TV Shows Of 2016!

“Halt and Catch Fire” has a big, romantic heart at its center, and that combination of tenderness and technological exultation means that it’s one of a kind.  – Maureen Ryan, Variety

Electronic music pioneer Paul Haslinger couldn’t be more perfect for his role as series composer of the hit AMC series, “Halt And Catch Fire.”  In its third season, the drama starring Lee Pace (TV’s “Pushing Daisies”, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies), Mackenzie Davis (“Black Mirror: San Junipero”), Kerry Bishe (Argo) and Toby Huss (Cowboys & Aliens) is the ensemble cast that really makes the series watchable, while Paul’s score keeps viewers in the mood and the moments.  Thrown into the mix are ’80s fashion, vintage computer gear and all the fine details that really captures the fictionalized dawn of personal computing and the Internet.

“Reverse Engineering” starts with slowly building arpeggios, before adding some deeper synth chords, drums and more oscillating synths that channel the very best of the 80’s computer era. It fits right into the rest of the soundtrack that flows effortlessly from start to finish. – Music Times
