Scott Pilgrim Takes Off into the stratosphere: the beloved Netflix anime has been crowned Best Animated TV Series!  We might be biased, but, we think IGN has excellent taste!  Read the full list at IGN.  Originally premiered on November 17 on Netflix, the series would go on to chart in the Top 10 in 16 countries on the platform!  

Featuring an all-star cast — with the original cast from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010) returning for the Netflix anime — the series also features original music by Anamanaguchi and Joseph Trapanese, including the cover song, “I Will Remember You” performed by Metric.  Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (Soundtrack from the Netflix Original Series) soundtrack is available now digitally and coming soon to vinyl.  Details below.

‘Scott Pilgrim Takes Off’ Soundtrack Vinyl Blasts Off Summer 2024! | io9

Fans of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off will be pleased to know the soundtrack is coming to vinyl in Summer 2024!  The good folks at io9 broke the news this morning and die hard fans got first dibs on the limited pre-order hosted on the Lakeshore webshop.  If you missed out, no need to worry as the record will be available at retailers such as Amazon.  Keep your eyes peeled for updates!  See the original announcement at io9. 

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off—Soundtrack From The Netflix Original Series featuring an exuberant score by Anamanaguchi (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World game), and Joe Trapanese (Tron: Legacy).  The album also features songs by Sex Bob Omb (the cast), Metric and Pop’n TwinBee.

The eight-episode series which features the return of the original cast, is created by Bryan Lee O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski and executive produced by live-action Director Edgar Wright, Nira Park, Michael Bacall, Marc Platt, Jared LeBoff, Adam Siegel, as well as Eunyoung Choi from animation studio, Science SARU. Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group. The series is streaming on Netflix.

The band is getting back together! Scott Pilgrim Takes Off reunites the original stars of the 2010 film, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, in the form of the forthcoming Netflix anime! In conjunction with New York Comic Con weekend, Netflix dropped the full official trailer, teasing Bryan Lee O’Malley, BenDavid Grabinski and Edgar Wright’s reimagining of Scott Pilgrim in this new animated series. Watch the trailer below and get ready to join Scott Pilgrim on his new adventures!

Early Buzz For Scott Pilgrim Takes Off Anime Series Soundtrack | Polygon

Before the highly-anticipated Scott Pilgrim Takes Off anime series has even launched, there is already buzz around the soundtrack by Anamanaguchi and Joseph Trapanese!  With three months to go before the world is treated to the animated series executive produced by the original writer and illustrator of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels, Bryan Lee O’Malley, one would hope we get to see more teasers in the coming weeks (the synopsis is currently under wraps).  And, did we say Scott Pilgrim Takes Off features a stacked cast, because, it is?  Since the launch of the teaser trailer, Scott Pilgrim fans have been blowing up the video as it has already generated close to two million views (as of this writing) in just one day on YouTube!  Set your reminder now at Netflix.

‘Scott Pilgrim Takes Off’ Anime Series Coming To Netflix November 17!

You read that right: Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, the new anime series is coming to Netflix on November 17!  Based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels written and drawn by Bryan Lee O’Malley, this new Japanese and American production . The cast from the 2010 film adaptation–and it’s stacked–Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Jason Schwartzmann, Michael Cera, Mae Whitman, Brandon Routh, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Kieran Culkin, Alison Pill and more–returns to voice the characters in the forthcoming animated series.  The series also features music by chiptune-based pop and rock band Anamanaguchi and award-winning composer Joseph Trapanese (The Greatest Showman, Oblivion, the Divergent film series).
