Devotion the movie is based on the true story of black fighter pilot Jesse Brown (played by Jonathan Majors) who enlisted in the US Navy to assist in our country’s war effort in World War II. Directed by J.D. Dillard (Sweetheart, Sleight), the film also stars Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick, Hidden Figures). You may know Jonathan Majors from his breakout performance in The Last Black Man in San Francisco, “Lovecraft Country” and The Harder They Fall. Watch the trailer below.
